Dina Lipkind is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Dietitian Nutritionist with a master’s degree from New York University in Clinical Nutrition and Food Service Management. Dina is the Program Director for the Eat Well Play Hard Program in Community Project for prevention of childhood obesity in Brooklyn, NY. Dina has over 17 years of experience in clinical nutrition, individual nutrition counseling, specifically in pediatric and women’s health nutrition. She has lectured widely on various nutrition topics including GI wellness, food allergies, pediatric feeding issues, diabetes, heart health, sports physiology and weight management. Dina is an active contributor in the nutrition community and belongs to the American Dietetic Association, Greater New York Dietetic Association and the Pediatric Nutrition Dietetic Practice Group.

KIDS FITNESS PROGRAM – SPRING/SUMMER 2009! Print E-mail
Kids Program

 

Our kid’s fitness programs start in the Spring/Summer 2009 and our goal is to stress the importance of fitness, strength, flexibility, stamina and good sportsmanship to the kids while having FUN!  We accept kids in the following age groups:

Ages 7-9

The fitness classes will be held in Prospect Park & Marine Park in Brooklyn. The class will focus on agility balance and coordination. We use agility ladders, jump ropes, agility rings and drills to keep the kids interested and moving for an hour. We will do relays races and various events to encourage the kids and raise self esteem.

Ages 10-12

The fitness classes will be held in Prospect Park & Marine Park in Brooklyn. The class will focus on agility balance and coordination. We use agility ladders, jump ropes, agility rings and drills to keep the kids interested and moving for an hour.  We also introduce running to this age group. We do drills that will include relays and we do speed training. We would have races for the kids to participate in so they feel a sense of accomplishment throughout the training.

Ages 13-16

Pace for Success inc. offers a CORPORATE PROGRAM that sends certified fitness instructors to your office once or twice a week to work with your employees for 1hr on site. We do a BOOTCAMP STYLE FITNESS CLASS that is a combination of CALISTHENICS, DRILLS & AEROBIC EXERCISE. This class increases lean muscle, endurance, strength, agility & balance. The initial program will last for 8 weeks and if it is successful you can renew monthly.

In these tough economic times, participating in a positive & uplifting program like this has many rewards. Your employees will appreciate your efforts to help them release stress & get healthy.

Pricing is from $80.00 - $120.00 per hr based on the location and size of class. If the employees pay for the class we need a minimum of 6 people and the price will range from $10.00 - $15.00 per class based on the location and the size of class. The initial program will last for 8 weeks and the employees will be responsible to pay for sessions in advance.

We also do SEMINARS ON NUTRITION which can benefit your employees as well. It is very hard to eat healthy during the day with so many bad choices easily available.  High intakes of sugar & caffeine plague the work enviroment & cause temporary energy surges that leave you feeling tired & listless. Education is key to making healthier choices.

We offer training for races in the new york city area. The corporate challenge is in june & we can train your employees for these events & they will represent your company. These types of events promote comrodary & increase morale. These sessions are held after work with a certified coach. The participants will have a training calendar that will take them from the couch to the track.

Group Training Sessions Print E-mail

We offer training for people that want to get fit and we also offer programs that prepare you for various endurance events and races. We also have a very popular class called RUNNERS BOOTCAMP that incorporates calisthenics, drills and running for all fitness levels. We have classes in Brooklyn and Manhattan, please see event calendar for date, time and location of classes. Register for classes on line by sending us an email with your name and class you will attend. You can also call us @ 877-791-8083 to register. Registration closes 3 hrs prior to the start of class. We have gift certificates available.

We also offer information on injury prevention and various topics related to safe and healthy running or walking. Please see the event calendar for date and time of sessions and contact us for more information or to register for a class. You HAVE to register for class at least 3 hrs prior to class whether you are taking a single session or if you are in one of the training programs. Please cxl up to 3 hrs prior to class or you will be charged for the class anyway. I will cxl class in dangerous weather conditions (ice, lightening, hail, thunderstorm etc).

Run/Strength Train/Core Training Session

This class is a combination of running & strength training specifically designed to strengthen the endurance athlete. You run in between strength training exercises. The strength training exercises target the entire body with special attention given to your core. This class is held on Monday evenings from 7pm - 8pm in Prospect Park. Meet at the Grand Army Plz entrance of the park. Please register for class by going to the "contact us" page and send an e-mail or call 877-791-8083. Classes are $20.00 per session and TNT/Corporate Discount of $18.00. We also offer a discounted rate of 4 sessions for $77.00 and a TNT/CORP DISCOUNT of $72.00

Speed/Hill/Interval/ Training

This class is designed for people that want to get stronger and improve their time for any race distance. This class will include tempo runs, fartleks & other speed techniques. You run short to long fast interval runs followed by recovery runs or walks. Hill Training is imperative for any runner that plans to run an endurance event or wants to work on time goals for any race. It increases strength in your lower body which increases your muscle endurance and speed. We teach you the RIGHT technique for running hills and we include speed drills as well. Beginners to advanced runner's are welcome. Classes start in February 2009. Please see the calendar for dates. Participants are required to have a sports watch so that they can record their splits and track their progress.

Subcontractor Program Print E-mail

We offer this program to Non Profit and Private Corporations that want to subcontract our services for their organization.

We offer our walk/run program, nutrition counseling and motivational speakers to inspire and empower women transitioning out of various life threatening, emotional, physical or medical situations. These women need to regain their mental & physical health and we assist them in this process. We take them from the couch to the track and make it an enjoyable experience.

We offer fitness, nutrition and empowerment seminars to pre teens and teens. We discuss body image and self esteem issues. We organize running groups and have them participate in races in the tri state area. having them train for an event and accomplish a goal raises self esteem. We offer seminars on career development and have the teens take a product from the design stage to bringing it to the consumer. We have successful business people come in and discuss their business and how they became successful which relates back to education.

We offer one on one training for individuals that want to stay in shape or want to train for an event.

We meet once a week and offer virtual training. You will have a training program designed for you and we are available for any questions that you may have. Each week you wil have a minimum of 3 days that you will run which will include a long run, speed work and pacing. I will also give you Crosstraining exercises to strengthen

We also offer information on injury prevention and various topics related to safe and healthy running or walking. We also help you maintain a fit and healthy lifestyle. Your program is tailored to you based on your fitness level, health, and schedule.

These prices are for Brooklyn locations, training in Manhattan will be priced slightly higher. Single training sessions cost $65.00 per hour & 4 classes cost $255.00 and expire 45 days after purchase. Team in Training participants and alumni as well as Senior citizens & Jenny Craig clients recieve discounted rates on the Individual Training sessions. Please cancel no later than 12 hrs prior to the start of your session or you will be charged.Contact us for details.

Please add an additional $50.00 monthly fee to create a calendar designed for you based on your schedule. This calendar will include running and strength training. I will include tempo runs, fartleks, speed work, hill repeats, interval training, strength training and calisthenics in your monthly calendar.

We offer virtual training to individuals that cannot make it to individual or group sessions but want to train for an event or just get healthy & fit.

You will get a monthly schedule outlining your workouts for the month as well as info on injury prevention and sports nutrition. Your program is tailored to you based on your fitness level, health, and schedule. You get unlimited e-mail feedback, a weekly phone meeting to review progress, a strength training program & information to promote safe & healthy running, walking, aerobic exercise and strength training.

The cost is $100.00 per month
